I have been watching to make sure that everything is going
well at the wrens' nest box. Lots of crows have been seen in my area and in the
nest tree. So far the House Wrens have not stopped their constant prey delivery.
It is reassuring to see and hear them coming and vocalizing as they deliver prey
all day.
The nestling are getting louder and louder. I finally got
a shot of one near the opening of the birdhouse. In this collection of photos
from today 5-26-21, I am showing, in one hour of taking shots, the wrens
bringing prey to the nest as well as doing house cleaning and removing the
poop sacks out of the nest and flying off with them out of the yard.
I will be on fledge watch. Hope to get some more shots of
the nestlings coming to the opening and eventually fledging. LOL, they are taken
such good care of by the parents, I'm afraid they won't want to leave! Check
back soon to see what happens.
I spent about an hour taking photos of the wrens coming to
the nest box to deliver prey items. Also I was lucky enough to get lots of house
cleaning action where they grab the poop sack from the nest and fly off with it.
Here are some shots to show you what they do.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Check back to see what happens next with the wrens.
