Allen's Hummingbird Hatchlings in 2022

This story is amazing. Last year in April, a female Allen's Hummingbird made a nest next to my friend's dining room window giving me a great chance to feature the egg-to-fledgling story. Today, Mark called and said that the same female hummer has been sitting on her new nest and that there may be new hatchlings in the nest. I hurried over with my camera and found the female hummer in her new nest. It is located about 15 feet from Mark's dining room window! I just sat at the dining table and clicked away. The nest is in the shadow and I am shooting through a sliding glass door. I waited quite a while before I finally got some shots of the hatchlings. From the looks of the two poo stuck to the side of the nest, I think they were just hatched in the last 24 hours. After she settled to brood, I quietly stepped outside to get one clear shot as not to stress her. She was calm and looked very content with her new nestlings tucked under her. I hope to get more photos soon.
